Sweepstakes Judge: Laurie Thal

Laurie Thal has been owned by Belgians since 1978 ... and she has excelled in virtually every venue she and her Belgians have entered.

She has owned and shown HIT Tervs in obedience and herding, as well as four tracking dogs! Laurie is the proud owner/trainer of 3 MACHs, two of which were in the top ten in 2015/2016!

She is both an accomplished breeder of many champions and a breeder/owner/handler of a Best in Show bitch and National Specialty BOS, "Rerun" (BIS Ch Toplines One More Copy).

She handled "Dart," BIS BISS Ch Souvenir's Triple Play CD, to both All Breed Best in Shows and ABTC National Best in Specialty Shows. She piloted Dart to many group wins and placements as well as a boatload of National "Selects" not to mention a Westminster KC Group 2! All thrilling wins.

Laurie has been credentialed as a UKC breeder judge and was honored to judge the 1998 ABTC National Puppy and Veteran Sweepstakes.

She has imported 6 Belgians over the years and their contributions to the Terv gene pool have been strong.

Laurie was honored by the ABTC in 1993 with the Gaines Good Sportsmanship Award.

She is delighted to be judging the 2017 Belgian Shepherd Dog Club of Canada National Specialty Sweepstakes and wishes every exhibitor a great day with their dog!
